Sparrows in my window.

Bonjour everyone,
Today morning, as I got up, I was greeted as usual by the chirping of sparrows sitting on my window sill. And I wondered for sometime, aren't there a lesser number of sparrows now? When I was a child, I saw sparrows everywhere. Now though, the population seems to have lessened. Living in a busy, bustling city full of life, we never think about these small little birds, who have got their own life. I was struck by a very strange thought. Don't these angels convey some message to you every morning? Everyday, my day starts, the same busy, tiring day, which at its end leaves me wondering whether I have time for myself.
Once, as I was getting ready to go outside, in my window I saw again those little ones, who were trying to make a nest in a very tiny hole above my window. I wondered how they would manage it. I watched them for a long time, but the couple were not ready to give up. How, with their little energy, they were trying it, I felt amused at seeing them. Can't we learn this from them? From the next day, I tried keeping some small grains and some water for them, but being the summer, the water dried up and the grains were eaten up by pigeons.
In my earlier house, I once saw baby mynas, and they indeed were so sweet, that I took many photographs of them. Every time I tried doing it, the female myna would try and stop my efforts, for she loved her tiny ones.
Birds and animals teach us so much that everyday, we can learn a new lesson from them. They have feelings too. I once saw that a crow had died on the road and the crows in the nearby area were cawing with such vociferous noises, that it was seeming as if spectators had gathered for a funeral. Birds have feelings too. The only difference is that they express it differently. But, if we really try, we can absorb those feelings. We can feel it mutual. We can understand their lives. For, we share a connection.
People are too busy these days in their own fine world of comforts and luxuries. They don't feel it important to look around and observe. If you just do, you'll find a miraculous something everyday. We have to be in harmony with nature, for we are a part of it. And doing this isn't difficult. Instead of gossiping, we can indulge in such good habits and hobbies. Just yesterday, I saw in my window a sparrow-sized bird, but it was very beautiful with vivid colours. I never have seen such a bird. It was black in colour, with a read beak and a yellow and orange topped head. The more comfortable we get the more we go away from nature. The more you adjust the more you learn. For, human roots go deep into the soil and they cannot be removed. When we try to outrun nature, nature herself outruns us. For we are second best to her. Everything is in her hands. And we have to respect her and give her the dignity she deserves.
Thank You.
Mohana.
